[DIVERS] Affirmation rare sur la Relativité

   In re-reading D57 I find:
 
 
   "(...) Et même si l'on pouvait résoudre le problème ardu qui consiste
à posséder une source énergétique
suffisamment puissante pour accélérer le vaisseau jusqu'à une vitesse
proche de celle de la lumière,
dans laquelle le véhicule augmenterait sa masse relative jusqu'à une
valeur fabuleuse, quatorze ans
de voyage représentent une durée excessive pour un groupe
d'explorateurs. (...)"
 
    I don't know if this issue was pointed out by someone else in the
list before. As for me, I'm surprised that
I didn't realize of it before...
 
   Unless I am very wrong about the SR theory, the time lapse
experienced by explorers travelling at
(almost) the speed of light would certainly be, NOT 14 years, but in
fact (almost) zero! For them,
the Ummo-Earth distance would contract dramatically, yielding a very
quick trip...
 
   So, unless the author refers, rather than to the crew, to the
explorers' relatives and friends in Ummo
waiting for their "brothers" to return (these would truly have to wait
during 14 years indeed to see
them back), this is a very serious error. But I think the text clearly
refers to the travellers; there is little
chance of misinterpretation, in my opinion.
 
   Am I wrong? Is this another "intentional" error?  :-(
